The Redhawks lead the best of seven series two game to none by sweeping the first weekend of action.
Game one saw saw the visiting Redhawks make sure the hometown Tomahawks know that momentum was on their side. Redhawk Korie Halftown opened scoring just 1 minute into the game. Korie then followed up with two more goals giving the Redhawks a 3-0 lead and the cushion they needed to take game one, 13-9.
Leading the Redhawks in the game one win was an outstanding performance by Korie Halftown (6-3), Leroy Halftown and Clay Arnold (1-3), Chris Lariata (1-2) and Lee Nanticoke (2-0).
The Onondaga Redhawks hosted game 2 and again were victorious. After the Tomahawks suffered the first loss of the season the night before, many Tuscarora players did not make the trip and played with a very short bench. Despite the slow tactics of play by the visitors, the Redhawks won 9-5.
The Redhawks were led by James Cathers (2-4), Leroy Halftown (2-2), Matt Bennett (1-3), and James Cathers and Korie Halftown both adding 1 goal and 1 assist.
Saturday the Redhawks will travel to Tuscarora but will return to Onondaga for game 4 on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 3pm.
