Brian “Lab” Phillips passes

July 24, 2021 By Redhawks Lax

Onondaga Redhawks sadly announce the passing for Brian “Lab” Phillips, aged 57, on July 21, 2021.

Lab has been a vital part of our lacrosse program.  Lab has played for the Redhawks helping the Redhawks always put a competitive team on the floor with his strong defensive play donning the number 44 for much of his career. Lab also was a part of the first ever Nationals team as they scrimmaged Syracuse University in Baltimore, Maryland in 1983.

Following his playing career, Lab took his love of lacrosse in coaching both minor, junior and men’s lacrosse teams.  As a coach, Lab helped bring two Can-Am championships back to Onondaga.  He was currently the President of First Nations Lacrosse Association and was also the former Vice-President of the Can-Am League.

Brian “Lab” Phillips also worked with the youth on the Nation and will be truly missed.

Services are July 25, 2021 at the Butler-Badman Funeral home.
