The Redhawks open the 2010 season against Pinewoods May 1st at 7pm ….
The Redhawks are looking to improve on their 2nd place finish to the Niagara Hawks in last years Can-Am final. In a surprising stat of the Championship Series, the Redhawks lost the series 4 games to 2 but won the goals for/goals against batlle between the two clubs.
Also in 2009, the Presidents Cup was hosted by the Can-Am. That honor went to the Six Nations Sting. In a surprising move, the bronze medal winners has withdrawn from the league. That leaves the Redhawks, Niagara, Newtown, and Pinewoods (the 2009 semi-final teams) to be labeled as favorites again in the 2010 Can-Am Playoff picture with rising Rochester, Tonawanda and Allegany tring to get a foothold into the top 4 playoff spots.
