The Onondaga Redhawks won the first 3 games of the best of 7 Can-Am series Championship this weekend .
The Redhawks traveled out to Newtown for what turns out to be a pivital game one. The game was back and forth all game with the Redhawks pulling out a 15 to 14 overtime victory over the host team. Saturday saw both teams battle to a 3 all tie at Tsha’Honnonyendakwha Arena to finish the first period. The Redhawks took control outscoring the Golden Eagles 11 to 2 in the final two periods for a 14 to 5 decisive win. Sunday saw the Redhawks win their second game on the road with a closely contested 9 to 6 win.
The Redhawks looks to close out the series beginning with a home game this Friday night (August 17th) at 8pm at Tsha’Honnonyendakwha Arena. If necessary, Game 5 is scheduled at Newtown at 7pm and Game 6 is is schedule at Tsha’Honnonyendakwha on Sunday at 4.
