The Onondaga Redhawks traveled out to Newtown and earned a 14-9 win. With the win the Rehawks improve their record to 6-2.
The Redhawks jumped out to an early 2-0 lead with goals by Edmund Cathers and Wade Bucktooth. After Newtown tied the game it at 2, The Redhawks outscored the Golden Eagles with goals by Kori Halftown, Adam Lee, Leroy Halftown, and James Cathers building a 6-4 lead at the end of the first period.
The second period saw the Redhawks extend their lead with 6 goals of their own while holding the Golden Eagles to 2 tallies. This was aided by power play goals by the Redhawks due from a major penalty and a game misconduct.
Leading the Redhawks were Leroy Halftown with 2 goals and 5 assists, Adam Lee with 2 goals and 3 assists and Kori Halftown’s 2 goals and 2 assist performance.
