Nanaimo, BC – The 2018 Can-Am Champions, the Onondaga Redhawks finish in 6th place at this year’s Presidents Cup.
The Redhawks entered the Canadian Senior B National Box Lacrosse Tournament on a high after winning 7 of the last 9 games played covering the last two rounds of the Can-Am Championship. The Redhawks unfortunately couldn’t continue that streak in the opening games of the tournament. Game 1 saw the Redhawks fall to the Oakville Titans, 8-11, Nanaimo Timbermen 11-15, before earning their first win against the Capital City Axemen 8-7. After defeating the Axemen in the morning, the Redhawks faced the Caughnawaga Indians in the afternoon falling 15-8. The Redhawks then suffered losses to the Ladner Pioneers 8-5 and the St Albert Miners 10-5 before earning the second win of the tournament over the Saskatoon Brewers 9-7 in finishing the Presidents Cup pool play. The Redhawks finished up in the consolation bracket with a another win over the Axemen and falling 9-8 to the Brewers to finish the tournament.
