The RedHawks would prevail with a win in their annual season opener across the border with a 7-5 win over Six Nations.

finish with three goals and 1 assist.
The RedHawks would travel to their season opener with (4) Junior B players, two of them goalies in Brandon Miller and Elliott Lyons. Brandon would get the nod to start and finished strong in the nets. With 33 minutes in penalties, the defense would find themselves getting a workout. Into the overtime, no goals would be made until 2:37 remained when Wade fed Pete Benedict and he would fire it past Slash goalie, Marko Celic.
With :51 until the final horn, in transition, Defenseman Derek Bennett would outlet to Trevor Clark who found defenseman ‘Junior’ Bucktooth
hustling down the middle of the floor. ‘Junior’ would score and secure the win for the visiting Onondaga RedHawks.
